Days And Moments - Unknown

We can't remember how this short poem ended up in our collection, but we think it may be connected to certain Masonic rites of passage within a Masonic Lodge

Days and moments quickly flying.
Blend the living with the dead,
Soon will you and I be lying,
Each within his narrow bed.

As the tree falls, so must it lie,
As the man lives so must he die,
As the man dies, such must it be,
All through the days of eternity.
